The X5 is a 5-channel power amplifier built in the same chassis as the X150 and X3 amplifiers. Like the X150, the X5 embodies the design technology and refinements of the larger “X” series amplifiers, including the patented Supersymmetric circuit. The X5 is rated at 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms, all channels driven. A convenient standby switch, a feature of all X-series power amplifiers, is located on the front panel of the amplifier. Each channel accepts both balanced and single-ended inputs, and outputs are provided through international safety-rated five way binding posts. The X5 offers excellent sonic performance and value in a multi-channel listening environment, handling with finesse musical passages and with authority the fast transients and deep bass frequencies of video presentations.
